Ms. Liu specializes in patent laws relating to mechanical matters.
Ms. Liu has Ph.D. degree (Majors: Robotics; Precision Instrument/Computer) and LLM degree and provides patent strategy consultation and legal advice for corporations and gives business training on corporate patents and related issues. She is experienced in patent administrative and civil litigation, patent infringement analysis, patent stability analysis, patent free-to-operate analysis, due diligence investigation, patent invalidation, patent reexamination, prosecution and drafting of invention, utility model, and design applications.
Besides the thousands of patent applications, reexamination cases and responses to the office actions, Ms. Liu has provided patent litigation and invalidation services and given legal opinions for a number of international and domestic well-known enterprises, such as Redbull, J&J, Honda, Bayer, Tyco, Abbott, PMI, Kose, Emerson, Alticor, Medela, Icon IP, Ethicon, Acclarent, Whirlpool, Terumo, Logitech, Eagle Creek, Micro-pak, Embraco, Schlumberger, Mattel, Rieter, Harman, KTM. Gree, Tongwei, Sol-Millennium, Jomoo, M&G, Nuctech, QS and so on for several hundred times. The clients sectors cover consumption, food, healthcare, automobile and components, and so on wide scope. The cases handled by Ms. Liu were listed as Top Ten Intellectual Property Cases of China Court and Top Twenty Intellectual Property Cases of Shanghai IP Court.
Ms. Liu has published more than 30 professional articles regarding patents and won Outstanding Patent Attorney Award of KWM for several times.
Work Experience
Ms. Liu joined King & Wood Mallesons in July, 2004.
Ms. Liu obtained her PhD at Beijing University of Technology and her LLM at University of International Business and Economics. Ms. Liu studied the Euro Law Course in Munich, Germany.
Ms. Liu is a Chinese Patent Attorney, Chinese Lawyer, Microsoft Certified System Engineer, Committee Member of the National Intellectual Property Youth Federation, Expert for Rating Beijing Patent Agencies, Expert Judge for High Quality Patent Competitions several times, and Star Patent Attorney. She is proficient in English and Chinese.
