Ariel Ye has more than 30 years of experience in the resolution of cross-border business disputes. She specializes in assisting clients to resolve complex business disputes through alternative dispute resolution methods including domestic and international arbitration. As a senior dispute resolution partner at King & Wood Mallesons, she is a widely recognized leading expert in cross-border dispute resolution in the Asia Pacific region.
Ms. Ye currently serves as a member of the SIAC Board of Directors and a member of the Advisory Board of International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA). Ms. Ye was once a member of the Board of ICCA, court member of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), and a court member of Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC). She also served as co-chair of the Asia Pacific Committee of the IBA Arbitration Commission.
Ms. Ye has represented Chinese and foreign clients in international arbitration proceedings before the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC), the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC), the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), SIAC and other international arbitration institutions.
Ms. Ye is also listed on the panel of arbitrators of International arbitration institution such as CIETAC, HKIAC, SIAC and Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration and etc.
Ms. Ye has been frequently recognized as a leading lawyer in international arbitration by prestigious legal directories including Chambers and Partners and Asian Legal Business (ALB).
Work Experience
Ms. Ye joined King & Wood Mallesons as a partner in 2004. Prior to that, she was a senior consultant in an international law firm.
Ms. Ye received a LL.B. from the Law School of Peking University and a LL.M. from Harvard Law School. She was admitted to practice law in the PRC in 1991 and passed New York Bar examination in 1999.
Ms. Ye’s working languages are Chinese and English.
