Annabel specialises in commercial transactions and projects involving technology, data and intellectual property. With more than 20 years’ experience gained from working in Australia, the UK and Asia, she brings to clients her experience advising on major projects such as joint ventures (including between competitors), collaborations, outsourcings, sales, commercialisation, IP licensing and complex procurements.
In addition to a transactional practice, Annabel also provides extensive advice in regulated activities, including data sharing. She also advises government on their most sensitive programs, including those relating to how government engages with citizens and regulatory reform.
Annabel is involved in the ACT innovation sector through her involvement with the Canberra Innovation Network. She is also passionate about innovation in business and government, including the opportunities for Australia in our region, the role of legal tech in transforming legal service delivery and helping clients adopt technology solutions to ensure higher value scale.
Annabel is KWM’s Government Sector lead, a role involving the coordination of over 230 lawyers across Commonwealth and State jurisdictions. She ensures government clients access the best resources and personnel to deliver projects for the betterment of our citizens.
