King & Wood Mallesons has advised the private equity firm Abac Capital on the tax structuring of its investment in Iber Conseil, a leading Catalan company in the distribution of specialty cheeses and dairy products. The KWM team has been led by the partner and head of the Tax department Alberto Ruano, with the collaboration of the associate Óscar Fuertes. Abac Capital has acquired a 75% shareholding through this transaction, while the rest of the property remains in the hands of the founders of Iber Conseil. With this investment Abac is planning to provide the company with the necessary strategic, operational and financial resources that allow it to develop its strategic expansion plan and continue its successful trajectory.
