King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) is proud to have received Climate Active Carbon Neutral certification of our legal services.
To be eligible for the Australian Government-backed certification, an organisation must be able to measure its emissions, reduce these where possible, offset remaining emissions and then publicly report their GHG inventory, emissions reduction plan and offset purchase details, via a Public Disclosure Statement.
The new certification means that KWM’s Climate Active certified clients can add the firm’s services to their own inventories as zero emissions. It is also a positive step forward in KWM’s Australian & Singapore Climate Change and Environment 2024 strategy – centred around growing our business sustainably and responsibly, while having a positive impact.
KWM is committed to transitioning to a net zero economy and we look forward to sharing our near term and net zero science-based targets (currently in development) and to partner with our clients, our people and other stakeholders to navigate this constantly evolving landscape together.
