These appointments, effective from 1 July 2024, underscore the firm’s commitment to investing in the growth and development of our future leaders. They bring a diverse mix of private practice, in-house and commercial experience across multiple jurisdictions from varied backgrounds. Some have spent time overseas and previously worked in in-house legal roles while others have run their own business on the side. All have taken different pathways, demonstrating that there is no ‘one size fits all’ on the path to partnership.
Many of KWM’s newly appointed partners specialise in practices and sectors that align with the firm’s key growth areas and where there is increased client demand across Asia. This includes private capital and restructuring & insolvency, as well as energy transition, infrastructure projects and data and technology.
Commenting on the promotions, Renae Lattey, Chief Executive Partner Australia said:
"As the leading law firm in Asia, it is important that we continue to grow our capability in areas with strong market potential so we can support our clients where they need us the most - now and into the future. Our 9 new partners have demonstrated strong leadership qualities and I look forward to seeing them play an active role in progressing the firm’s strategy; reinforcing our culture and deepening their relationships with our clients.”
