King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) has advised Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) on an investment in Wollemi Capital, as part of the global climate specialist investment firm’s Series A capital raising.
The investment will allow CBA and Wollemi to come together on a range of strategic initiatives aligned to the bank’s commitment to play a leadership role in Australia’s transition to net zero and goal to help its customer reduce their emissions.
Wollemi Capital’s overall funding round has raised $220 million which will be invested in food and agriculture, energy transition, natural capital, and climate services sectors.
The KWM team was led by Partner, Jonathan Grant with support from Special Counsel, Luke Mulcahy, Solicitor, Wendy Yuan (M&A) and Partner, Claire Rogers (Head of Climate and ESG).
