King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) has advised Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited (ANZ) on its offer of ANZ Capital Notes 9 (CN9), which raised $1.7 billion of Additional Tier 1 Capital.
KWM advised ANZ on all aspects of the CN9 offer, including the reinvestment offer for eligible ANZ Capital Notes 4 holders.
The KWM team advising on the transaction was led by partners Ian Paterson, Joseph Muraca and Jack Hill with support from senior associate Kathryn Tomasic and solicitors James Atcheson, Andrew Chong and Alice Sawers. Tax partner David Wood and senior associate Frankie Barbour also provided tax advice to ANZ on the deal.
