King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) has advised Banco Santander and the European Investment Bank (EIB) on the agreement reached with the listed renewable energy group Solaria for the granting of a Green Loan financing amounting to €553 million, through several credit facilities, intended for the development of several solar photovoltaic projects with a total aggregate capacity of more than 1 GW. The projects, in different stages of development, are located in Castilla y León, Castilla la Mancha and Catalonia. This is one of the most relevant project finance deals of 2023, due to its size and complexity.
