Bing Cheng specializes in cross-border investigations and litigation, intellectual property disputes and transactions, compliance investigations.
She has been involved in numerous claims, including but not limited to, patent, trademark and copyright infringements, misappropriation of trade secrets, commercial defamation, securities litigation, product liability claims and 337 investigations. She has acted as a China law expert in a number of US litigations.
Ms. Cheng is an arbitrator of China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission, Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre and the Arbitration Center Across the Straits.
Ms. Cheng joined King & Wood Mallesons in 2020.
Prior to joining King & Wood Mallesons, Ms. Cheng practiced intellectual property and international litigation at leading Chinese law firms and U.S.-based international law firms. Prior to private practice, she also worked as a legal counsel at a Japanese multinational corporation in healthcare industry.
Ms. Cheng's working languages are Chinese, English and Japanese.
Ms. Cheng received PhD in law from University of Political Science and Law in China, LLM degrees from University of Pennsylvania Law in the United States and Ritsumeikan University in Japan. She also obtained Postgraduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Certificate from the College of Law in the United Kingdom.
Ms. Cheng admitted to practice in New York and the People's Republic of China.
