KWM Connect: China Stock Connect and Mutual Recognition of Funds – Latest developments in cross-border investment

Welcome to the fifth edition of KWM Connect, a periodic review of developments in Hong Kong and China cross-border investments.   

In this edition, we examine the Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect programme and the recent announcement of mutual recognition of publicly offered funds; the issues that are of concern to international investors; and how these developments fit with other existing regulatory programmes which give offshore investors access to Mainland securities and Mainland investors access to offshore investment opportunities.
