Mr. Kondo specializes in labor, bankruptcy, and civil litigation.
In the field of labor law, he handled issues such as dismissal, layoff, unpaid wages, harassment, etc. He has represented various companies like automakers, airlines, food manufacturers, publishers, schools, machine parts manufacturers, financial IT solutions companies, to name a few.
In bankruptcy law area, he was appointed by the court as deputy trustees of automobile wheel makers, spectacle lens manufacturers in the Corporate Reorganization cases. He served as debtors’ representative of golf club manufacturers, golf course management companies in the Civil Rehabilitation cases. He also has served as bankruptcy trustees for a lot of enterprises and individuals upon appointment by Japanese courts.
He has achieved the winning reversal judgment by the Japanese Supreme Court in the shareholder derivative lawsuit.
Mr. Kondo is a member of Labor Issues Committee and Bankruptcy Law Study Group in Dai-ni Tokyo Bar Association, and a member of Japanese Association for Business Recovery.
Mr. Kondo joined King & Wood Mallesons Tokyo office in 2016. Prior to that, he served at Miyake & Yamazaki, Nakayama & Otokozawa and Shinbo & Partners. After that, he practiced independently.
Mr. Kondo received LL.B. from Keio University in 1999. He was admitted as an attorney by Japanese bar association in 2003.
