Madoka Hashimoto specialises in finance-related legal matters and corporate matters.
Mr. Hashimoto has advised financial institutions, securities companies, SPVs and other enterprises on the development of financial products, debt financing and asset financing. He has extensive experience in representing both seller and buyer.
Mr. Hashimoto has provided clients with all-round legal services in connection with their investment, including conducting legal risk analysis on the formulation of the investment framework agreement, execution of transactions under the agreement, application and withdrawal of the investment; drafting and negotiating transaction documents, and issuing legal opinions. He has also assisted enterprises in response to securities inspection, administrative guidance and administrative penalties.
In addition, Mr. Hashimoto has also advised general commercial companies, individual investors, medical legal persons and social welfare legal persons on legal investigation, compliance matters, contract drafting and negotiation and other day-to-day legal matters involving commercial transactions, labor, compliance, asset transfer, land acquisition, investment and financing, etc.
Mr. Hashimoto joined the Tokyo office of King & Wood Mallesons in 2021.
Mr. Hashimoto has worked in Atsumi & Sakai, and Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe after being registered as a lawyer (Dai-Ichi Tokyo Bar Association) in April 2000. He has served as a specially appointed professor of Osaka University Law School since April 2020.
Mr. Hashimoto graduated from the University of Tokyo Faculty of Law in 1998 and received a Ph. D. (Law) from the University of Tokyo Graduate Schools for Law and Politics in 2009.
