King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) has advised LANDWEHR Group on the merger with prosoft Group. The two groups form the leading HCM software provider for the German temporary staffing market.
The prosoft Group, based in Regensburg, Germany, was founded in 1984 and develops and distributes intelligent software solutions for personnel management on the Central European market with about 70 employees. The former owners of the prosoft Group will remain involved and will hold shares in the new group.
The merger of LANDWEHR, the leading provider of highly specialised Human Capital Management (HCM) software products, in particular for personnel service providers and building service providers, with prosoft enables significant acceleration of growth as part of a comprehensive buy and build strategy of the technology investor LEA Partners, who supported this transaction.
LEA Partners initially invested in LANDWEHR in April 2019 (KWM advised LEA Partners). Following the acquisition of rhb Software in November 2019 (KWM advised LANDWEHR) the merger with prosoft now represents an important milestone within LEA Partner’s growth strategy. The newly formed group serves more than 3,200 customers and has more than 330 employees at 4 locations in Germany. The aim is to jointly improve and expand the group’s product line and thus the market leadership.
