Consultation on PRIIPs key information documents

On 11 November 2015, the joint committee of the European Supervisory Authorities (ESAs) has published its joint consultation paper relating to technical standards for Art. 8 (5), Art. 10 (2) and Art. 13 (5) under the Regulation on key information documents for packaged retail and insurance based investment products (PRIIPs, Regulation (EU) 1286/2014). The consultation paper sets out detailed proposals on key information documents, for example regarding the risk indicator, the performance scenarios, the presentation of costs and the layout. Furthermore, the consultation paper provides details in relation to the update and availability of key information documents. Comments on this consultation paper can be submitted by 29 January 2016. On 9 December 2015, a public hearing will be held in Frankfurt.
