Xiao Jin


Areas of practice

Mr. Xiao Jin specializes in international trade law, which includes trade remedies, customs law, WTO dispute settlement, and international trade agreement negotiations.

Since 1998, Mr. Xiao has represented multinational companies from the U.S., the E.U., and Japan as well as Chinese companies responding to more than twenty antidumping, countervailing, and safeguard proceedings, obtaining outstanding results for his clients. Mr. Xiao has also represented the Chinese government in over a dozen WTO dispute settlement proceedings. He has acted as legal counsel to the Chinese government in certain international trade agreement negotiations. Mr. Xiao frequently advises foreign and Chinese companies on customs, general import / export, and trade finance matters.

Work experience

Mr. Xiao joined King & Wood Mallesons in 2003. Before joining our firm, he worked at Beijing Jingtian & Gongcheng.

He received his LL.B. and LL.M. from the University of International Business and Economics. Mr. Xiao was admitted as Chinese lawyer in 1998. He is proficient in English and Chinese.
