Areas of Practice 

Ms. Jane Wang focuses on domestic and foreign litigation and arbitration in areas of corporate, bond, fund, investment, financing, commercial real estate and commercial contracts.

Ms. Wang has developed a deep understanding of and extensive experience in complicated large-scale commercial dispute resolution. She regularly represents clients in resolving disputes relating to company control, redemption right, share transfer, false statement of listed companies, right of first refusal, piercing corporate veil, shareholder’s right to information, shareholder’s qualification, etc. As for investment and financing related disputes, she has wide experience in the areas of redemption of bonds, notes and warrants, breaches of investment right agreement, proceeds distribution, breaches of partnership agreement, exit from fund, etc., and she regularly represents banks and other financial institutions in resolving loan, security, and independent guarantee disputes. She has represented a number of well-known foreign companies in handling dozens of commercial real estate lease disputes, and also has ample experience in handling other commercial disputes before PRC courts, as well as domestic and foreign arbitral tribunals.

Ms. Wang has been involved in the resolution of several disputes widely known in the legal market, for example, a series of VIE structure and company control disputes of a well-known foreign fund before PRC court, a foreign fund’s more than ten notes and warrants related disputes in PRC, a foreign bank’s disputes in a major financing fraud involving several domestic and foreign financial institutions and a huge disputed amount, a multi-national retail chain’s more than ten lease disputes arising from its exit from PRC market, a well-known multi-national’s large scale futures and options disputes spanning PRC and foreign exchanges, and two well-known aviation accident disputes.

Ms. Wang has published a number of academic articles and five books in the areas of dispute resolution, banking law, legal profession and education, which were well received.

Work Experience

Before joining King and Wood Mallesons in 2007, Ms. Wang worked in two prestigious domestic law firms. She received her LLM degree at the Law School of Sichuan University.
