Mr. Lin Jia specialises in litigation, arbitration and non-litigation practices in real estate, construction, trust and assets management.
In the area of real estate, Mr. Lin’s legal practice covers a broad spectrum of real estate enterprises M&A, financing (trust, assets management, PE fund), trade of land-use-right, joint-development, property purchasing and sales, leasing, property management, hotel management as well as leasing and operating of mega-malls.
In the area of construction, Mr. Lin has represented project owners, contractors, sub-contractors, suppliers and designers in a large number of litigation and arbitration matters, and his non-litigation legal services cover the entire process of tending and bidding of construction projects, construction, design, supervision, decoration and claim.
Mr. Lin has extensive experience in disputes resolution, with particular specialty and deep understanding in M&A of real estate enterprises, joint-development, leasing, compensation for breach of contract, trust and assets management cases. He has acted for numerous renowned international and domestic companies in various litigation, arbitration and compulsory enforcement proceedings.
Mr. Lin joined King & Wood Mallesons in June, 2006. Prior to that, he worked as an attorney in Beijing Jincheng Tongda Law Firm, the liquidation group of Asia Securities Co., Ltd. and the liquidation group (on administrative) of Centergate Securities Co., Ltd.
Mr. Lin received his LL.B in civil law and LL.M in commercial law from the Communication University of China and Jilin University respectively. He also received a bachelor degree in industrial engineering and management from Nankai University whilst working in the legal profession. Mr. Lin was admitted as a PRC lawyer in 2007.
Mr. Lin is proficient in both Chinese and English.
