Ms. Chen Hong specializes in civil and commercial dispute resolution, with a focus on dispute resolution pertaining to equity investment and construction. Ms. Chen is also experienced in handling disputes related to equity and debt investment, business investment cooperation, construction and infrastructure projects such as mines, power plants, highways and subways, and other investment cooperation.

Ms. Chen has over 20 years of experience in dispute resolution on equity investment and construction and infrastructure projects. She has successfully advised a number of large conglomerates on mediation, litigation and arbitration cases concerning equity and debt investment, M&A and restructuring, cooperative education projects and construction and infrastructure projects of mines, power plants, highways and subways, some of which were selected by "Internal Reference of Xinhua News Agency", "Xinhua News Agency Domestic News" and "Faren Magazine" as representative cases. With her expertise in resolving disputes related to complex investment cooperation and infrastructure construction projects, she advised China Coal Group on a construction contract dispute concerning Da Lizhuang Iron Mine, China Huadian Corporation on a general contract dispute of Yuhua Thermal Power Phase I FGD island project, Hebei University of Architecture on a cooperative education dispute, Hebei Finance and Investment Holding Group on a loan dispute, on a Daguang highway advertising tower contract dispute, a provincial meteorological bureau on an administrative reconsideration and many other complicated cases and recovered losses for clients. Her performance is highly recognized by clients.

Ms. Chen has been honored as “Outstanding Member of the National Tongxin Lawyers Service Group”, “Excellent Builders of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in Hebei Province", "Leading Individual of Participating in Deliberating and Administration of State Affairs " and "Selfless Dedication Awards of Lawyers" by the United Front Work Department of CPC Central Committee, the Central Committee of Jiusan Society, All China Lawyers Association, the United Front Work Department of Hebei Province and Hebei Provincial Department of Justice.

Ms. Chen has authored a large number of articles to share and summarize her professional and practical experience based on years of practice. The "Legal Analysis of Equity Transfer of Corporation", "Advice on Improving the People's Jury System", "Optimizing the Rule of Law and Promoting Judicial Transparency", "Improving the System of Water Resources Law", " Improving Business Environment with the Rule of Law" and other articles written by her were published in newspapers and journals such as "Chinese Lawyers", "Hebei Academic Journal Magazine", "People's Political Consultation News", "The Theory and Practice of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference", and "Hebei News". Ms. Chen Hong is an active organizer and participator of various pro bono activities. The “Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction Public Welfare Forum”, “Seminar on Legal Issues of Enterprise Investment and Financing” and “Seminar on International Arbitration Practice” initiated and organized by her at her own cost received positive feedback from the society and wide support from government authorities and all sectors of society.

Work experience

Ms. Chen Hong joined KWM in 2018 and has been working as a lawyer since 1998. She also has worked with the procuratorate and state-owned financial investment companies. Ms. Chen received her LL.B. from Liaoning University and LL.M. from Tsinghua University.

Ms. Chen Hong's working languages are Mandarin and English.
