Anna Vella

Anna provides specialist advice in relation to various state and federal environment and planning assessment, approval and regulatory processes, environmental enforcement and compliance, contaminated land, vegetation, water and other natural resource matters.

Over her 18+ years of experience, Anna has represented a number of high profile, blue chip, public and government clients in the delivery of infrastructure and major projects. Additionally, Anna has advised on contaminated land matters across different industry sectors on managing statutory and common law exposures.

Clients come to Anna for her unique private and public sector experience, enabling her to provide deep insights and to offer innovate solutions for environmental and planning aspects of project delivery – Anna has a detailed understanding of regulatory requirements, processes and policy issues which influence governmental decision making.

In addition to serving on various industry committees examining environmental and planning law reforms, Anna has been a sessional lecturer in planning law in both the Law and Built Environment Faculties at the Queensland University of Technology and, for the last 12 years, she has been a co-author of the leading industry publication in relation to planning and development in Queensland, as published by Thomson Reuters.
