Law in Order Cyber Security Incident – King & Wood Mallesons response 9 December 2020

It has been brought to our attention that on Sunday morning, 22 November 2020, legal document management company Law In Order (LIO) experienced a ransomware incident.

As with many other law firms King & Wood Mallesons engages LIO for digital document management solutions, most commonly on significant disputes and regulatory inquiries.

We are actively working with LIO to understand the nature and extent of the breach and which clients may be impacted.

We can confirm that this cyber security incident affecting LIO has not compromised KWM systems. It is paramount to us as a provider of legal services that we maintain confidentiality and protect our client’s information at all times.  We want to assure our clients that we are taking this very seriously.

If you require further information please contact our Chief Operating Officer, Tim Finlayson.
