KWM advises Dexus on A$500 million institutional placement

King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) is acting for Dexus in relation to its A$500 million institutional placement, which is being undertaken to partly fund up to approximately A$739 million of property acquisitions. 

The institutional placement is fully underwritten by Goldman Sachs Australia Pty Ltd and Macquarie Capital (Australia) Limited, and following completion Dexus will undertake a non-underwritten security purchase plan for eligible Securityholders in Australia and New Zealand. 

The KWM team was led by M&A Partners Susan Hilliard and David Friedlander, who were supported by Senior Associates Daniel Natale and Amanda Isouard and Solicitors Anna Chen, Robert Garritano and Dylan Moloney. 

Susan Hilliard said: “KWM is delighted to partner with Dexus on this significant transaction”.

The Firm also advised Dexus on its equity capital raisings in 2008, 2009 and 2015, international and domestic debt capital raisings and acquisition of the Commonwealth Property Office Fund, with its capital partner, in 2014.
