Celebrating $10 million donated through Workplace Giving with CARE Australia

In October 2015, Chris Wheeler (Partner and Chair of KWM in the Community Board) and Sue Kench (Managing Partner, Australia) hosted Dr Julia Newton-Howes AM (CEO, CARE Australia) and Gail Kelly (CARE Ambassador) at a lunch to mark $1 million in Workplace Giving donations to CARE Australia, and $10 million in donations to our charity partners overall. 

KWM staff heard from Julia and Gail about visiting CARE projects in Malawi, Cambodia and, Vanuatu. 

CARE Australia has been a pro bono client of KWM for over 20 years, and one of KWM’s Workplace Giving partners since the programme began in 2002. CARE’s long-term recovery and empowerment programs align with our firm’s global charitable goals – in particular CARE’s focus on education, healthcare & skills to help alleviate poverty and improve community welfare.
