KWM breaks new ground in the international bond market

KWM has recently advised on the first-ever issuances of RMB-denominated (so called “Panda”) bonds by foreign sovereigns into the Chinese domestic market. These landmark issuances, offered by the Republic of Korea and the Province of British Columbia, Canada, have now paved the way for other issuers wishing to tap into the lucrative Panda Bond market. 

In this video, lead partners Christine Chen and Richard Mazzochi reflect on the opportunities and challenges they encountered while advising on these ground-breaking transactions.
