Mr. Zheng Hui specialises in international M&A, financing and family wealth management. He has extensive experience in advising domestic and international clients on cross-border legal services. Prior to joining King & Wood Mallesons in 2017, he had worked at the London head offices of two internationally renowned law firms for over ten years. He currently focuses on cross-border investment and financing and family wealth management and planning.
With extensive experience in multi-jurisdictional transactions, Mr. Zheng has provided domestic and foreign clients with comprehensive legal services in cross-border family wealth management (including building trust platforms for family global assets and, executive and employee equity incentive), cross-border investment and M&A, private equity, venture capital, project financing. His clients are from various industries, including energy, logistics, automotive, consumer goods and high-end life service, manufacturing, healthcare, media, real estate and high-tech. He has unique insights for the special demands of these industries and commercial and legal risks associated with the transactions. Mr. Zheng is adept at helping clients understand and effectively resolve differences between legal systems and market practices in different countries.
Mr. Zheng is also an expert in cross-border family wealth management. He has assisted a large number of Chinese companies and their founders with their cross-border asset planning and management, global asset allocation and the protection and succession of family wealth.
Mr. Zheng is qualified in Hong Kong SAR, England and Wales, Ireland and PRC. He is also a visiting lecturer at the University of Bologna in Italy, and at the School of Law, Queen Mary, University of London.
Work experience
Prior to joining King & Wood Mallesons in 2017, Mr. Zheng worked at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP and Allen & Overy LLP.
He received his LL.B. from Nanjing University and his LL.M. from Law School of University of Oxford.
Mr. Zheng is qualified in England, Wales, Hong Kong SAR, Ireland and the PRC. He is also a visiting lecturer at University of Bologna and School of Law, Queen Mary University of London.
Mr. Zheng is proficient in English and Chinese.
