Zhang Xiaoxia specializes in IP litigation and dispute resolution, involving patent, trade secret, copyright, trademark, and unfair competition.

Ms. Zhang has extensive experience in handling IP infringement matters, especially patent infringement and invalidation cases. She provides services for clients from various fields such as automotive, medical devices, LCD/OLED display technology, large machinery, robotics, artificial intelligence, and communication, and has particular expertise in areas involving specialized and sophisticated techniques. During her long-term practice, Ms. Zhang has accumulated comprehensive litigation experience, and has shown outstanding performance in litigation strategy determination, specific case management, litigation strategy implementation, and licensing negotiation, etc. Ms. Zhang has represented a number of international and domestic industry leaders to deal with various types of IP disputes, and received unanimous recognition from the clients saying that "She is a very reliable attorney".

Ms. Zhang has represented more than 100 litigation cases, among which several cases have been selected as "Exemplary Cases" by the Supreme People's Court, Guangdong Higher People's Court, Zhejiang Higher People's Court, Ningbo Intermediate People's Court, Jinan Intermediate People's Court, and Shenzhen Intermediate People's Court.

Ms. Zhang also advises clients on a wide variety of IP matters with her rich experience, including conducting FTO analysis prior to the product launch, performing due diligence, drafting and reviewing IP license and transfer agreement, and developing IP management system and confidentiality strategy.

Work Experience

Ms. Zhang joined KWM in 2012. Prior to joining the firm. Ms. Zhang focusing on patent examination, and review and invalidation proceedings. 

Ms. Zhang obtained her Bachelor's and Master's Degree of Engineering from Harbin Engineering University in 2002 and 2004 respectively. She also obtained a Juris Master's degree from Renmin University in 2014.

Ms. Zhang was admitted to the PRC Bar and the PRC Patent Bar in 2012.

Ms. Zhang's working languages are Chinese and English.
