Ms. Yang Xiaoli specializes in intellectual property. Her areas of practice include counseling on trademarks, domain names, copyright and unfair competition matters, advising on trademark availability, securing and defending IP rights, filing opposition and cancellation proceedings, taking actions against counterfeiting and IP infringements, negotiating for the acquisition of trademarks and licensing, and dealing with domain name dispute resolutions.

She has extensive experience in the areas of trademark prosecution and enforcement. She has gained a high reputation particularly in relation to the protection of trademark rights in China. She represents many well-known brand owners in developing their branding strategies and protecting their trademarks in China and internationally. She works extensively in the area of trademark enforcement, and has handled many infringement cases for domestic and international clients through administrative raid actions or litigation. Her clients include luxury goods, food and beverages, apparel, software, household appliances, and health care companies.

Work experience

Ms. Yang Xiaoli joined King & Wood Mallesons in 2001, prior to which she worked as a trademark attorney at CCPIT Patent and Trademark office. She obtained her B.A. from Jilin University and her Master's degree in intellectual property from the University of London.

She is currently a member of INTA, AIPPI, LES and MARQUES.
