Ms. Wang Yao specializes in dispute resolution, particularly in civil and commercial matters. Specifically, she advises on real estate, construction and projects, commercial housing sales and other contractual disputes, as well as equity transfer, confirmation of shareholders' qualification, dissolution and other corporate disputes.
Ms. Wang has more than 10 years of experience in real estate litigation. She represents large real estate developers and other upstream and downstream companies in the industry in high value and complex litigation/arbitration cases. With an in-depth local knowledge of the legal market in Hainan, she is familiar with the procedures of courts and arbitration institutions, and provides constructive and feasible solutions for her clients. Ms. Wang is renowned for her ability to handle comprehensive cases, and skilled in resolving high profile and complex disputes. By developing and implementing proper strategy, she identifies the key issues in disputes and maximizes the benefits of her clients.

Ms. Wang has been recognized among the Leaders in the Legal Profession in Hainan Province (the first batch). In addition, she also serves as an arbitrator in Zhanjiang Arbitration Commission and Zhanjiang Court of International Arbitration.
Ms. Wang is also willing to provide pro bono services. She acts as a speaker in various law publicity and education activities held by judicial and administrative authorities, including law publicity and education in schools and in enterprises. Particularly, she was the only speaker in the 2017 and 2018 trainings for certified administrative enforcement officers co-organized by the Legal Affairs Office of the Sanya government and Sanya Bureau of Justice. She contributes to the development of the local legal profession and thus is well known and highly recognized by her peers in Sanya.
Work Experience
Ms. Wang joined King & Wood Mallesons in 2019. Prior to that, she served as a lead partner in Beijing Yingke Law Firm (Haikou office) and Deputy Secretary of its Party branch. After graduation with a master's degree in 2007, Ms. Wang worked in the University of Sanya Law School, teaching Contract Law, Enterprises and Contract Law and Economic Law. She became a full-time lawyer after resignation from the university in 2017.
Ms. Wang Yao graduated from Hainan University with a master's degree.
She was admitted to practice law in China in 2009.
