Mr. Seokho Lee is a partner who leads the Korean Practice Team in Shanghai which also covers other major cities including, without limitation, Beijing, Tianjin, Qingdao, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Suzhou, Guangdong, Shenzhen, Xian, Chongqing, Chengdu…etc.  ("KWM").

Mr. Lee has abundant experience representing public or private companies in a wide range of corporate matters, especially in China. His areas of expertise include M&A, foreign direct investment, corporate governance and commercial contracts, and general corporate legal advice for the large size of Korean companies including, without limitation, Samsung China, Beijing Hyundai Motors, SK China, Lotte China, STX China, Posco China, Eland China, Lock&Lock China, Hanssem China, SBS, SM Entertainment, NHN Entertainment, CHA Hospital, Celltrion, Hanmi IT, Hyundai Heavy Industry, Samsung Heavy Industry...etc.

Mr. Lee has also extensive experience in representing the Chinese companies' oversea investment to Korea through acquisition of the Korean listed or non-listed companies such as Lead Dragon's acquisition of Dongbu Robot, Locojoy's acquisition of Enustech, and Huayi Brothers' acquisition of two listed companies: Sim entertainment & HB entertainment…etc. 

Work Experience

Mr. Lee joined King & Wood Mallesons in 2012. Prior to joining KWM, Mr. Lee worked for the International Corporate team of Daeryook&Aju Korean law firm located in Seoul, Korea ("DRAJU"), and had worked as in-house lawyer at Rockingham Asset Management Company located in LA, USA prior to joining DRAJU.  He graduated from Korea University located in Seoul, Korea with a B.A. in Law and Chinese Language (Double Major) in 2005, and received his Master Degree in Tax Law from Northwestern University School of Law located in Chicago, U.S.A. in 2007, and is currently pursuing his PH. D. in Economic Law from Shanghai Jiaotong University located in Shanghai, China. 

Mr. Lee is a member of the New York State Bar Association.

Mr Lee's working languages are Chinese English and Korean.
