David Mu specialises in cross-border structured products / transactions, exchange-traded or OTC derivatives, financial infrastructures, banking service documentation, GBA-focused financial projects.
David is experienced in a wide range of investment products / transactions, including ISDA-, NAFMII- or MiniMaster-based OTC trades, GMRA-based repo trades, structured transactions based on the (R)QDII regime, (R)QFII documentation, precious metal transactions, central clearing and regulatory advices on international regulatory reforms, various cross-border programmes accessing onshore futures market, CIBM and exchange-traded markets and complex cross-border projects relating to NPLs and factoring assets. David has advised numerous international clients cross-border marketing and GBA initiatives.
Work Experience
David worked as PRC Advisor with a Magic Firm's Hong Kong office for nearly four years before he joined KWM Hong Kong in 2014. David finished his 5 months secondment in Credit Suisse in 2018-2019 and a 5 months virtual secondment in HSBC China in 2019. David provided special legal supports under a retainer programme for SCB in 2020.
David graduated from the University of International Business and Economics and the City University of Hong Kong. David is qualified in the PRC and a registered foreign lawyer in the HKSAR.
He speaks fluent English and Mandarin.
