Dr. Gao has made great achievements in the field of intellectual property (IP). He specialises in complex IP litigation, particularly in patent litigation in the areas of communications, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices. His team successfully represented Boehringer Ingelheim Pharma GmbH & Co. KG in patent infringement cases (the first nationwide major patent infringement cases in China) in 2023. Leveraging a unique understanding and mastery of the IP litigation practice and extensive practical experience in case management, he is capable of protecting clients' rights and interests to the fullest extent possible. Dr. Gao has advised many large multinational corporations and worked on many high-profile cases, such as Michael Jordan v Qiaodan Sports, China XD group v. a mobile phone manufacturer, and Eli Lilly v. Watson Pharmaceuticals.
