Simon Meng, International Partner, Finance & Securities, Shanghai office
Simon Meng focuses on cross-border M&A, new energy (including new energy vehicles, solar energy, wind energy and energy storage) and semiconductor industry. His performance in M&A transactions between Europe/US and China, project cooperation and development, project finance, international transaction negotiations and risk control has earned him wide recognition internationally. Simon has worked in Cleary Gottlieb, a US-based law firm, and Herbert Smith Freehills and Linklaters, both UK-based law firms. He practiced in Paris, New York and Hong Kong SAR, and worked in KWM Shanghai office between 2012 and 2017.
Elvis Hu, Corporate, Shenzhen office
Elvis Hu focuses on corporate matters, especially venture capital and private equity investment, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and foreign direct investment. Elvis handles a large number of venture capital and private equity investment matters every year, providing clients with innovative solutions to their overseas or domestic structures. He also has broad experience in cross-border capital markets, including privatization of US stocks, dismantling of the red chip structure, returning to the A-share market, and listing in Hong Kong or the US. In addition, Elvis also counsels many multinational companies and domestic emerging high-tech enterprises from TMT, education, biomedical and other industries. Prior to joining KWM, Elvis was a partner in the Beijing office of Commerce & Finance Law Offices and Han Kun Law Offices, respectively.
Wang Xin, Dispute Resolution, Chongqing office
Wang Xin focuses on M&A financing, real estate, disposal of non-performing assets, etc. Having been deeply engaged in the southwest legal market for many years, Mr. Wang has accumulated a wealth of experience in advising on real estate development, investment and financing of real estate projects, financial assets M&A, corporate M&A and reorganization, liquidation and disposal of financial claims and debts, dispute settlement involving atypical and defective warranties, dispute resolution & litigation, among others. He joined KWM at the end of 2020 and will be based in the KWM Chongqing office which is set to open soon.
