On September 27, 2023, BYD announced that they have entered into a definitive agreement with Jabil Inc. to acquire Jabil’s mobile electronics manufacturing business in the APAC region for a cash consideration of US$2.2 billion. The acquired business, which mainly provides manufacturing services for technology giants, will expand the customer and product boundaries of BYD Electronics, broaden the core supply chain of consumer electronics, and significantly improve the customer and product mix of BYD Electronics.
