King & Wood Mallesons advises 51 Credit Card Inc. on its listing in Hong Kong

On 13 July 2018, 51 Credit Card Inc., China's leading fintech company, was successfully listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (stock code: 2051) with the issue price of HKD 8.5 per share and the market value exceeding HKD 10 billion. The fintech unicorn 51 Credit Card Inc. has become the first Chinese mainland based fintech company that got listed in Hong Kong.

The business of 51 Credit Card Inc. commenced in May 2012, and covers one-stop personal financial services for personal credit management, credit card technology services and online credit facilitation and investment services. It has launched several Apps, including "51 Credit Card Manager" "51 Renpin" "51 Renpin Loan" and "Geinihua", becoming a leading fintech unicorn in China.

Acting as counsel for the sponsor in this project, KWM advised on every aspect of this listing by providing legal advice on and solutions to issues including the VIE structure, regulation on fintech industry, and filing of online lending information intermediaries. KWM has been widely recognized by the issuer and the sponsor for its professional performance.
