Mr. Zhang Yi specializes in PE fund formation and investments, M&A, corporate restructuring and domestic/offshore IPOs, as well as outbound M&A by Chinese companies.

Mr. Zhang Yi received his LL.M. from Stanford Law School. He also has an Executive MBA degree from Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business. Mr. Zhang is qualified in both PRC and New York State of the United States. He is also a registered foreign counsel in Hong Kong.

Mr. Zhang was recognised as “National Excellent Lawyer.” He is head of the 16th team of the New Social Stratum Association, member of the Entrepreneur Council of Chinese Economists 50 Forum, member of China Finance 40 Forum (CF40) Council, member of CPPCC Shanghai Committee and deputy director of the Committee on Social and Legal Affairs under CPPCC, one of the first-batch part-time legal advisers of Shanghai Municipal People’s Government, and expert of Shanghai Municipal People’s Government on decision-making consultation. He is also a director of Shanghai Y50 Research Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, vice president of Shanghai Youth Intellectuals Friendship Association, vice president of Shanghai New Social Stratum Association, arbitrator of Shanghai International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission, chairperson of Zhejiang Youth Talent Union in Shanghai, member of the Dean’s Advisory Council and Asia Advisory Board of Stanford Law School,  and supervisor for master degree candidates and part-time professor at East China University of Political Science and Law, School of Law of Shanghai International Studies University and School of Law of University of International Business and Economics.
