Mr. Zhang Jiaqi specializes in intellectual property, especially in trademark related litigation and enforcement. 

Mr. Zhang is familiar with the legal theory and judicial practice on intellectual property in China, including trademark, copyright and anti-unfair competition. Besides, he also knows well about corporate trademark management practice and needs and provides targeted advice. Mr. Zhang has extensive experience in representing foreign clients in their IP matters in China and his expertise includes trademark prosecutions, administrative litigation, enforcement, customs recordation, civil litigation, criminal litigation, providing comprehensive advice and strategy for the client's trademark registration and protection, as well as counselling on copyright, domain name, trade name and anti-unfair competition.

He has extensive experience in the areas of trademark administrative and civil litigations as well as administrative raid actions, handling more than one thousand cases including those involving complicated issues, such as color combination trademarks, three-dimensional trademarks, sound trademarks and certification trademarks in the past years, many of which have been listed as representative cases by courts and the CTA. He helped many of his clients have their marks recognized as well-known trademarks and obtain broader protection. 

His clients include domestic and international well-known enterprises, such as John Deere, General Electric, GSK, TOD'S, Bottega Veneta, Ferragamo, ECCO, Ariston, AEON, HITACHI, Nikon, TOYOTA, JUKI, LINE FRIENDS, MUJI, MOPIDICK, DIDI, TCL, SINA. 
 
 Mr. Zhang is actively attending trademark protection related social activities and has published many trademark related articles. He also provides many kinds of intellectual property related trainings for his clients.  

Work Experience

 Mr. Zhang Jiaqi joined King & Wood Mallesons in 2010. 

Mr. Zhang obtained his bachelor degree from Jilin University and his master degree from Transnational Law and Business University (TLBU in Seoul).

Mr. Zhang got the Lawyer license in 2009.

Mr. Zhang's working languages are English and Chinese.
