Xiaodan XU is a partner of the Dispute Resolution Group in Beijing. She focuses on regulatory compliance, investigation and litigation practice.

Ms. Xu has a strong expertise in the regulatory compliance and investigation practice, covering anti-fraud, anti-corruption, anti-commercial bribery, anti-money laundry, labor and employment, etc. She assists a number of clients in their internal compliance investigations and helps clients devise and implement investigation strategies and action plans, including advising on the methodology, procedures and outcome of the investigation and the proposal for next steps. She is also well-versed in mitigating corporate crisis and contingencies, and has assisted a number of clients in responding to investigations led by domestic or foreign regulatory authorities.

Ms. Xu also excels in the dispute resolution practice, particularly litigation or arbitration in the following areas: (1) corporate disputes, arising from equity investment and corporate control, class action, etc.; (2) financial and asset management disputes, arising from financing, financial derivatives, trust fund, asset management products, etc.; (3) cross-border trade disputes, arising from the sale of goods, product quality, letter of credit, etc.; (4) construction disputes, arising from late delivery, project quality issues, cross-defaults, etc., (5) contract disputes, arising from loan contracts, security contracts, financial leasing contracts, etc.; (6) anti-unfair competition disputes, arising from infringement of trade secrets, false representation, etc.; and (7) recognition and enforcement of foreign arbitral awards.
In 2020, she was recognized by The Legal 500 as "Rising Star" in Regulatory Compliance practice.

In 2015, she was recognized by ALB as one of "Top 15 Rising Lawyers in China".

Work experience

Ms. Xiaodan Xu joined King & Wood Mallesons in 2000.

She obtained her LL.B. from Peking University in 2000 and received her LL.M. from King's College London in 2005. She qualified as a PRC lawyer in 2002.

She is proficient in both English and Chinese.
