Nicky is a Special Counsel with over 20 years’ experience in brand protection and an impressive track record in overcoming complex obstacles to registration. She handles all aspects of trade mark management, including brand clearance, product launch strategies, trade mark registration, oppositions, non-use actions and enforcement. She is also accomplished at devising scope of rights analyses and at designing and implementing brand protection strategies for start-up companies.
Nicky has a deep knowledge of the practices at IP Australia and IPONZ, and also at WIPO and internationally. She has extensive experience managing international trade mark filing programs and portfolios.
Nicky is responsible for the trade mark portfolios of leading Australian and international IP owners, with much of her work focused on clients in the e-commerce, IT, entertainment, insurance and automotive industries. Nicky has also had valuable in-house experience on secondment to an ASX company as IP Counsel.
