Nick Davies is a Partner based in the corporate practice of the Singapore office of King & Wood Mallesons. He has been recognised as a Rising Star by the Legal 500.
Nick has extensive experience working on strategic investments, acquisitions, joint ventures, disposals and commercial partnerships across South East Asia. His clients include funds, multinational corporations, financial institutions, investors and founders.
His practice spans Venture Capital, Private Equity and the full spectrum of strategic transactions. Nick's broad M&A toolkit, working knowledge of all jurisdictions in South East Asia, and goal-orientated approach, enables both clients from the region and those who are newer to the region to execute on their deal objectives efficiently and to international standards.
Nick has a particular sector focus on regional technology and digitisation transactions, including significant experience advising in relation to FinTech, data-related businesses and consumer related industries.
He has been a contributor to Singapore’s SGX SPAC consultation and Singapore's model venture capital investment documents. He is often asked to comment on regulatory developments or provide input to new legislative proposals in this sector.
He joined KWM to cement his focus on the South East Asia growth story. Prior to this, he worked at top tier US firms in Singapore and in London. He has been working in Singapore for the past 8 years. In the first half of his career, he advised Sovereign Wealth Funds, Private Equity Funds and Multilateral Banks on transactions in Western and Eastern Europe – which has given him a depth of experience to become an emerging markets specialist.
Nick is admitted to practice in England and Wales and is a Registered Foreign Lawyer in Singapore.
