Michael Causer is a partner in the Sydney Environment & Planning and Native Title Team. He primarily advises on environmental, planning, water and land access issues and regularly represents private and government clients in the NSW Land and Environment Court. His clients are primarily focused upon real estate, infrastructure, energy and resources projects.

- Electricity distribution - advising on land access and rezoning
- Forever chemicals - advising on risk of clean-up on incoming purchaser
- EV Chargers - co-location with existing electricity infrastructure
Recent litigious matters include:
- Acting for Ausgrid in proceedings against Syndey Metro in compensation proceedings for the acquisition of 33 Bligh Street, Sydney.
- Acting for the GPT Group against Sydney Metro in compensation proceedings for the acquisition of 7 Figg Tree, Sydney Olympic Park.
- Acting for the GPT Group in a building appeal against North Syndey Council. The GPT Group obtained development consent for a 48-storey office building at 175 Walker Street, North Sydney.
