Mr. Jonathan Pan specializes in foreign direct investment, M&A, project finance, and private equity investment.
Mr. Pan has advised foreign investment projects in major sectors including power, waste energy, transportation, media, advertising, and manufacturing. He advises clients on commercial and investment laws, including establishing and acquiring equity in joint ventures and wholly foreign-owned enterprises and their branch offices. In addition, Mr. Pan advises clients on technology licensing, finance, labor law, product liability, sales, and distribution.
Work experience
Mr. Pan joined King & Wood Mallesons in 2006. Prior to this, he worked as an associate at a law firm in New York and afterwards as a senior associate at the Hong Kong office of another law firm. Mr. Pan has also worked at a government organization of the PRC.
He earned his LL.B., cum laude, from the Foreign Affairs College, Beijing in 1986; his M.A. in Political Science from the State University of New York Buffalo in 1991; and his J.D. from the University of Washington, Seattle in 1994. Mr. Jonathan Pan was admitted to the Bar of the State of New York in 1996.
Mr. Pan is fluent in Chinese and English.
