Eugene Lau is a Counsel in the Hong Kong office of King and Wood Mallesons where he specialises in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and capital markets. His experience covers initial public offerings, equity fund-raisings and compliance matters in relation to Hong Kong listed companies.
Eugene is experienced in assisting clients from China Mainland, Hong Kong, multinationals enterprises as well as leading investment banks and financial institutions on corporate and securities related matters.
Eugene's working languages are English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese).

- Advising GCL New Energy Holdings Co., Ltd. on the proposed mandatory general offer for the acquisition of all issued shares of GCL New Energy Holdings Co., Ltd.
- Represented SAIC Motor Hong Kong Investment in its proposed acquisition of the largest single equity interest in CAR Inc.
- Represented China NT Pharma Group Company Limited. in its proposed acquisition and subscription of shares and convertible bonds of HONG KONG WD PHARMACEUTICAL CO., LIMITED in major and connected transactions, using shares as the form of payment. And issue consideration shares and apply for whitewash waiver under special authorization
