Ding Wanli specialises in litigation, arbitration and pre-litigation dispute resolution. She is particularly skilled at handling corporate cases, financial cases involving asset management, funds, negotiable instruments, independent guarantee, factoring, among others. She also excels in overlapping civil and criminal cases in the field of finance, and civil and commercial contract disputes.

Ms. Ding has a wealth of experience in litigation and arbitration, having advised on many difficult and complex commercial disputes. She is familiar with the adjudicative thinking and operation of courts and arbitration institutions, enabling her to provide constructive and practical solutions.

Ms. Ding has handled hundreds of domestic and international disputes, including several first nationally significant disputes arising from major negotiable instruments risk events as well as disputes over the control of well-known companies. She advises on financial disputes in connection with negotiable instruments, certificates of deposit, guarantees, independent guarantee, factoring and letters of credit. In corporate cases, she also represents clients in litigation and arbitration proceedings involving control rights, M&A, and repurchases of well-known multinational corporations, industry-leading fund companies and other large companies.

Ms. Ding also has extensive experience in overlapping criminal, civil and administrative cases in the financial field, and is capable of developing integrated solutions for clients.

She was recognised as a Rising Star in Dispute Resolution: Litigation by The Legal 500 for 2023.

Work experience

Ms. Ding joined King & Wood Mallesons in 2014.

She obtained her LLB degree from Southwest University of Political Science and Law and her master’s degree in Economic Law from China University of Political Science and Law.
