Cheng Ke specialises in dispute resolution, focusing primarily on financial and commercial disputes, real estate and construction disputes, investment and corporate disputes, and special asset disposal and transactions.

Mr. Cheng has 20 years of experience and proven expertise in commercial dispute resolution. He has advised a wide range of reputable clients, including Fortune 500 enterprises, large state-owned enterprises, private enterprises and financial institutions.

Mr. Cheng has advised financial institutions and large enterprises on disputes over loan contracts, guarantee contracts, financial leases, entrusted investment agreements, asset management agreements and cross-border financing agreements.

Mr. Cheng is well recognised by clients in the area of corporate and investment disputes. He has advised listed companies on dispute resolution and compliance issues in acquisitions and anti-takeovers. He has also represented a number of clients in disputes over control and equity transfer of listed companies, non-listed companies and family businesses.

In relation to special asset disposal and transactions, Mr. Cheng has advised domestic and foreign financial institutions on the acquisition, management, due diligence and disposal of major special assets. He has accumulated comprehensive experience and developed a set of effective practice procedures in this area.

Mr. Cheng is currently an arbitrator of the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration and the South China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission. Arbitrator of Jiangmen Arbitration Commission and South China (Hong Kong) International Arbitration Court.

Mr. Cheng was also a contributing writer for the Financial Times financial column, and participated in the compilation of many professional books such as "Lawyer Practice in High-tech Transactions" (1999).

The Legal 500 Asia-Pacific list 2022、2024 was announced, and Mr. Cheng was awarded the "Special Recommendation" partner in Guangzhou, Guangdong. Benchmark Litigation China Awards 2023 “Guangdong Lawyer of the Year”.

Work Experience  

Mr. Cheng joined King & Wood Mallesons in 2000. Before joining King & Wood Mallesons, Mr. Cheng worked in a well-known law firm in Shenzhen.

Mr. Cheng graduated from the Zhongnan University of Economics and Law with an LL.B degree.

Mr. Cheng was admitted as a PRC lawyer in 2000.
