Chang Junfeng specialises in criminal litigation and compliance investigation.
Mr. Chang is one of the lawyers that began practice early in the PRC in the area of corporate compliance investigations. He has substantial experience in structuring corporate compliance systems, internal compliance investigations, criminal compliance management, and dealing with criminal investigations against companies. He has advised a great number of enterprises and entrepreneurs.
Mr. Chang has also represented a good many enterprises and entrepreneurs in criminal defense involving allegations of commercial bribery, white-collar crimes, financial and securities crimes, intellectual property crimes, crimes related to customs and tax affairs, data crimes, environmental crimes, etc. He has also been the chief editor of King & Wood Mallesons’ annual research: Report on Criminal Offences of Listed Companies for years. Mr. Chang also published a book titled "Corporate Criminal Law Compliance and Crime Prevention for Public Companies".
Work experience
Mr. Chang joined King & Wood Mallesons in 2012 as a partner of the dispute resolution practice. Before joining the firm, Mr. Chang had served as an associate, partner and member of the managing committee, successively, in a reputable law firm in Beijing for more than a decade.
Mr. Chang obtained his bachelor degree of law from Tsinghua University and an EMBA from China Europe International Business School.He is also the Executive Vice-President of the Beijing Society of Criminology.
He is now a researcher with the Customs and Foreign Exchange Law Institute of RUC Law School, a part-time supervisor of postgraduate students at PKU Law School, as well as an external expert on civil and administrative supervision of the Supreme People’s Procuratorate.
Mr. Chang was awarded as one of the “Top 15 Litigators in China” by Asian Legal Business in 2014 to recognise his excellent professional skills and broad experience in litigation. He is also "highly recommended" in Regulatory/compliance by The Legal 500 (2022/2023).
