King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) identified a suspected case of COVID-19 in its Sydney office on Wednesday, 11 March.

The KWM staff member may have been exposed during overseas holiday travel. Test results are awaited. They are currently self-isolating at home, with mild symptoms, and receiving medical care as needed and we are in regular contact offering support.

The health and safety of our people, our clients and the broader community is our first priority and therefore as a precautionary measure, KWM has directed all of its Sydney based partners and staff to work remotely until further notice.

KWM hopes to reopen its Sydney office on Monday, 16 March, however this will depend on the receipt of test results and further advice. We will continue to assess the situation as we have more information.

We are supporting our people and working with our clients to avoid or minimise any disruption to the service we provide during this period.
