King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) has maintained its leading position in the Asia Pacific, receiving the award for both Chinese (PRC Firms) Law Firm of the Year and Australian Law Firm of the Year at the 2020 Chambers Asia Pacific Awards, announced on Thursday, 16 April.
The awards follow on from the firm's success in this year's Chambers and Partners legal rankings in which the firm received 19 Band 1 practice group rankings in Australia and 22 Band 1 practice group rankings in China and Hong Kong SAR*, a record in Chambers Asia Pacific Band 1 rankings.
The Chambers Asia Pacific Awards are awarded annually and recognise pre-eminence in key jurisdictions and practice areas in the region in addition to an excellence in client service.
*Any reference to "Hong Kong" or "Hong Kong SAR" shall be construed as a reference to "Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China."
