KWM promotes four to the Australian partnership

King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) is delighted to announce the promotion of four of our people to the Australian partnership, effective 1 July 2020.

The promotion of these lawyers to partner is a testament to their technical excellence, their outstanding leadership skills and their commitment to KWM's clients.

The Australian promotions for 2020 are:

Max Allan: Banking & Finance, Sydney

A member of the Financial Markets practice, Max advises major banks, funds, corporates, exchanges, clearing houses, regulators and government on financial market infrastructure and international derivatives and trading. He is also an expert in the use, risks and implications of blockchain and other fintech systems and the implementation of Open Banking and the Consumer Data Right.

Emma Lawrence: Dispute Resolution, Canberra

Australian and English law qualified, Emma advises on a range of commercial and contractual disputes, risk management issues and ADR. She spent seven years in London acting on behalf of global financial institutions and multi-national corporations and is highly regarded by clients on larger scale disputes.

Rebekha Pattison: Dispute Resolution, Canberra

An experienced dispute resolution practitioner, Rebekha is a specialist in administrative law, regulatory matters and investigations, and general commercial disputes. Her extensive expertise includes advising clients on complex statutory interpretation issues and legislative change and preparing guidance materials for public sector clients.

Peter Yeldham: Dispute Resolution, Sydney

Peter is a commercial litigator with a focus on complex insurance disputes and advice. He acts for insurers, reinsurers and policyholders and has broad professional indemnity claims experience. In addition to contested insurance disputes, Peter has acted for policyholders in managing and progressing PI claims. Peter is often called upon to provide bespoke advice and views on policy wording, potential claims coverage, or insurance obligations in large contracts.
