The Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) has once again named King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) as an Employer of Choice for Gender Equality.
This prestigious program recognises organisations that promote and improve gender equality, for both men and women in the workplace. KWM has been acknowledged for achievements over the past year including;
-
Increasing female partner representation to 29% overall, with 70% females in the most recent Australian partnership appointments
-
Continuing regular gender analysis of core people processes, including remuneration outcomes
-
Conducting one-on-one gender equality consultations with partners and staff to obtain insights and suggestions about advancing gender equality
-
Working with external organisations such as the Law Council of Australia, Chief Executive Women and the 30% Club to further gender equality
-
Maintaining 'Engaging Women' steering committees in each centre focussed on delivering initiatives to educate, develop and connect people on the topic of career advancement for women
KWM Australia Chief Executive Partner and WGEA CEO Pay Equity Ambassador, Berkeley Cox, said our ongoing recognition as WGEA Employer of Choice not only acknowledges our past achievements, but also demonstrates our ongoing commitment to gender equality.
"We recognise the critical need to maintain a deliberate focus on gender equality and we try to do this by driving a number of initiatives including flexible working, unconscious bias education, sponsorship, coaching and are seeking active involvement of both genders to champion the agenda."
