King & Wood Mallesons has again been recognised as a leading law firm in the Asia Pacific, ranking second overall in the Acritas Asia Pacific Brand Index. The ranking is the result of a survey completed by more than 900 senior legal buyers based both in the region and globally.

The index measures performance across five components including awareness, favourability, litigation, M&A and high-value work. Respondents not in the Asia Pacific are asked to select the firms they would engage when work arises in key jurisdictions in the region.

Within the individual components KWM improved its ranking for top level litigation and cross border work, moving from third to second position and fourth to third position, respectively. The firm measured in the top three for all rankings in the index.

Commenting on the firm's results, Global Chief Executive Partner, Sue Kench said: "These rankings reflect our firm's commitment to building a top tier law firm in the Asia Pacific. We are particularly pleased to see the improved ranking in terms of our cross-border work, as KWM continues to take advantage of the opportunities for growth presented by the Greater Bay Area and Belt and Road initiatives."
